The Dragon Bridge crosses the Han river in one gold curve and lands on the east bank, and this spot is a short walk from that landing. This side is quieter than the market side across the water: low streets of guesthouses and mi quang shops, the riverside promenade on Tran Hung Dao, and the Carp Dragon statue a few hundred metres upstream. Vo Van Kiet runs from the bridge straight out to the sea, which puts the beach about fifteen minutes away on foot. The bridge itself is an evening thing, breathing fire and water at nine on Saturday and Sunday nights, and the banks fill up an hour before. That is awkward when your room went at noon and the night bus to Hoi An or Nha Trang leaves later still. Leave the bag here, take the afternoon and the show, and collect it on your way to the station.
