Luggage storage Lan Ong

Lan Ong is Hanoi's traditional medicine street, named after an eighteenth century physician, and you will smell it before you see it: sacks of dried roots, bark, cinnamon and herbs line the shopfronts, and herbalists still weigh out remedies by hand. It is a short, narrow street in the middle of the Old Quarter, beside Hang Ngang and the weekend walking street, and only a few minutes on foot from Dong Xuan Market. It is a street for wandering slowly, which is exactly what you cannot do with a suitcase in a space this tight. If you have hours to fill between checkout and departure, store your bags here and spend them properly: a coffee on a balcony above the rooftops, a bowl of pho on a side lane, a loop through the oldest streets, then back to collect everything before you go.
