Ta Hien is Hanoi's beer street, and the Old Quarter's late night runs on it. Most travellers end up here on their last evening — which is usually the evening after checkout, with a bag they have nowhere to put. Drop it with us in the morning, spend the day on Hang Bac and Dong Xuan, and come back for it whenever the night ends. Open 24/7 matters here more than anywhere else in Hanoi: the sleeper buses to Sa Pa and Ha Giang leave well after midnight, and the overnight train to Lao Cai pulls out at 22:00. You do not want to be carrying a suitcase through a crowd on plastic stools at 23:00, and you do not want to pay for a second night just to keep it somewhere.
